It is with great regret and sadness that we heard of the untimely passing of our former player, loyal supporter and friend Denis Canniffe R.I.P.

The officers, committee and members of Cumman Luthchleas Gael Droichead na Banndan, wish to express their deepest sympathies to his wife Kate, his parents Michael and Kay, his brother Tadhg, his sister Maria, the extended Canniffe & Gibbons families and his many friends.

Denis played with Bandon GAA club from a young age and was part of the Bandon team that won 1999 West Cork U16 and County U16 Hurling championship. He was on the Bandon team that achieved the fantastic double West Cork U21A Hurling and U21A Football championship in 2005. Denis went on to play Junior Hurling for Bandon and when Denis stopped playing for the club he remained a loyal supporter.

Bandon GAA club will perform a Guard of Honour at his funeral mass on Mon 1 Nov 2021 at St. Patricks Church, Bandon, as a mark of respect to our friend Denis.
