Football Junior A
Bandon 1-13
Knocknogree 1-07

October promises to be a special month in the annals of Bandon GAA history.

On Saturday last our adult footballers ensured qualification to the County Junior Football final for the first time in 4 decades.

Another blistering start was the foundation for this victory and a fortuitous penalty on the 2nd minute was neatly latched away by sharp shooter Mark Sugrue.

Barry Collins and Darren Crowley kept the scoreboard operator busy throughout but the defense were the backbone of this victory and Peter Murphy, Eoghan O'Donovan and Brian Crowley were excellent throughout.

Brian and Alan Johnson were returning from longterm injuries and gheir contributions were immense on the night.

We look forward to the final now versus Uibh Laoire on Saturday week.
