There were three notable Underage victories last in the past week and also a large defeat.

The under 12 hurlers took some time to get going against a well organized Clonakilty selection at Clonakilty but proved too good in the end on a score of 4-8 to 1-4.

Richard Murphy in the middle of the park was inspirational and he was well assisted by Brendan Twohig and Rory Desmond in defense and Jake Lillis in attack.

Team: David McCarthy, Nico Belivanus, Brendan Twohig, Ben Harrington, Rory Desmond (0-2), Dylan Barr, Ruairi Harrington, Richard Murphy (2-3), Tom Donegan, Edward O'Leary, Cian McPartland (0-1), Darragh McCarthy (1-0), Jake Lillis (1-2) Subs: Matthew Treacy, Attila Percze, Jack Heaney, Eamon Twomney and Aaron OReilly.

Not for the want of effort by the mentors and players but our under 16 footballers were well beaten 3-17 to 0-10 by Urhan in the West Cork semi-final at Ballydehob but there was better news for the minors after their 2-13 to 1-12 victory over O'Donovan Rossa in Clonakilty and this team awaits winners of Western Gaels and Urhan in the decider at tbc.
