Bandon GAA Notes 11-10-2016

Another tremendous start (and hopefully not the last one of the week) was the foundation for Bandon’s historic victory in the Premier Intermediate Hurling Final against Fermoy last Sunday in Pairc Ui Rinn.

Our defenders and mid-fielders drove many good deliveries into the full-forward where Michael Cahalane and Ronan Crowley were un-markable in the opening 20 minutes. 

Our defence were outstanding also as Fermoy drove at us in the second half and James O’Donovan and Peter Murphy were excellent.

The celebrations on Sunday night will live long in the memory but maybe just maybe they may be repeated next Sunday evening when it is the turn of the Intermediate Footballers when they take on Rockchapal in the county final at 1:45 p.m.

The Football management team of Colm Aherne, David O’Donovan, Niall Connor, Jimmy Gabriel and John O’Connell are very solid individuals and there is little doubt that they will get the players back down to earth and focussed for the job at hand this weekend as we go in search of an elusive County Double.
