After the disappointment of losing out not once but twice to Ibane Gaels in the under 21 BFC Final and the Feile Football the previous week, Hurling was the pre-dominant sport at the club in the last week.

The Intermediates defeated a stubborn Watergrasshill side 2-13 to 0-13 in the Div 2 Hurling League on saturday evening.
Level at 07-07 at half time the game was still in the melting pot until a peach of a pass from substitute Roy Payne set up a late and decisive goal by Ronan Crowley.

The Junior Hurlers faced a stronger and fitter Kilbrittain side in their opening league game last Wednesday.
Although ahead 2-4 to 0-7 at the break Kilbrittain had things their own way in the second half to win on score of 3-4 to 3-14.
Next Saturday we are away to St Marys at 7p.m.

The Minor Non Exam Hurlers recorded a 1-17 to 0-11 victory over a Bishopstown second string team last Thursday night.
There were victories for the Under 12s v Clon (8-3 to 0-4) and the Under 11s v St Ol Plunketts on Monday night (6-5 to 4-7).
Last and by no means least the under 14 hurlers competed in the Feile competition on Saturday last defeating Na Piarsaigh 3-3 to 0-2 and being defeated by group winners and hosts Ballinhassig 1-6 to 0-5.
