U15

The Bandon Under 15A Footballers have qualified for their second County Final of 2017 after they recorded a 04-17 to 01-04 victory over Clyda Rovers at MourneAbbey last Saturday afternoon.

Like all good teams nowadays, the foundation for the victory came courtesy of a blistering start and in truth the game was over as a contest on 15 minutes when we led 9 points to 1.

Charlie Long , Cathal Lynch, Daithi Collis and Rory Desmond shared all those points.

Leading 1-9 to 0-3 at half time , the concession of a goal just after the re-start proved a wake up call for the team and we responded well by scoring three goals of our own by Daithi Collis and a brace by Cathal Lynch.

It was great to see Fionn Harrington come on and score in this period after a long lay off due to injury.

This team are blessed with good forwards but are backboned by fine defenders in Brendan Twohig, Oisin O'Mahony and Tom Desmond. We await the winner's of Cuchalanns v Youghal in the final.

Team: Oisin Doyle, Oisin O'Mahony, Tim Twohig, Brendan Twohig, Cian Burke, Conor Twomey, Tom Desmond, Richard McCarthy Niall Desmond, Charlie Long, Cathal Lynch, Gavin Lowney, Jake Lillis, Daithi Collis and Rory Desmond.
