Bandon                  1. 11

Goleen                   1. 09

Aughaville on Friday evening was the venue for this Junior B Football championship quarter-final with the winners seemingly getting a bye to the final.

This was a fine open game of attacking football with an understrength Bandon more or less leading from the first whistle.

The half-time score had Bandon with their noses in front by 1.07 to 1.05. thanks mainly to a fine goal from Ben Donegan.

Bandon could and should have been further ahead had they not spurned some other very good goal scoring opportunities.

Bandon played their best their best football early in the second half and built up a lead that Goleen just could not peg back.
