Following a review of the Bandon GAA Lotto, I am delighted to announce that Bandon GAA Club will be relaunching our weekly Club Lotto in June 2019 with a new Mega Jackpot prize starting at €15,000 rising by €200 weekly to maximum €20,000. This will be the largest Lotto Jackpot prize in the Bandon catchment area. If no weekly Mega Jackpot winner is found, Bandon GAA Club will offer a Consolation Jackpot starting at €500 and increasing €100 weekly to maximum €10,000.

The weekly Lotto and Annual Membership fees are the main source of income that covers monthly expenses such as lighting, heating, purchase of training equipment, player injury fund & public insurance, county and carbery affiliation fees,...etc.

Unfortunately, over the past number of years the Bandon GAA Lotto funding has significantly declined because

1. Less Club members (Players, Committee Members, Supporters) signing up or renewing their Lotto membership.

2. More competition from other Club Lottos around Bandon. (regular Lotto Players tend to follow the largest weekly Jackpot prize)

3. Decline in number of Authorised Ticket Sellers for Bandon GAA Club Lotto.

4. Decline in number of Lotto Selling Outlets around town (example: large number of Pubs or Shops have closed down in past 5 years around Bandon)

How does the Lotto Player win a prize?

Select 3 numbers from 1 to 30 and 1 Bonus number from 1 to 10. Ticket cost €2 each.

• Match 3 + Bonus Numbers to Win the Mega Jackpot Prize.

• Match 3 Numbers to Win the Consolation Jackpot.

In the event of two or more winners the Mega Jackpot and Consolation Jackpot will be shared equally.

What are the Benefits for the Lotto Player?

• Chance to win Mega Jackpot Prize €15,000 up to €20,000.

• Chance to win Consolation Jackpot €500 up to €10,000

• Your Lotto contribution goes towards the running costs and facilities upgrade for Bandon GAA club that also benefits Bandon Underage GAA Club, Bandon Camogie Club and Bandon Ladies Football Club.

• Your Lotto contribution is supporting a Volunteer Club that is part of the local Bandon community.

What are the Benefits for the Lotto Ticket Seller?

• Seller of winning Mega Jackpot Prize ticket will receive €1,000

• Seller of winning Consolation Jackpot ticket will receive €100

Note: A Direct Debit winner of either Jackpot will also win the Seller prize. In the event of two or more winners the Seller Prizes will be shared equally.

The first draw for the Bandon GAA Lotto relaunch will take place on Thursday 6th June 2019.

• We are requesting €2 per week contribution from you which can be paid through your bank account using the bank mandate attached. You can return the completed mandate forms by post to Treasurer, Bandon GAA Club, Charlie Hurley Park, Bandon.

• If alternative Lotto playing arrangements are required, the Club can arrange to drop tickets to you and collect lotto payments on monthly, half annual or annual basis should you prefer.

The Lotto Committee will be in contact with you again in connection with the Mega Lotto relaunch, as our fundraising efforts maintain and develop our facilities to support the Hurling, Camogie & Football players of today and tomorrow.

The Bandon GAA Club Lotto Relaunch will take place at 8pm on Monday 13th May 2019 at the GAA Pavilion and all Club Members are invited to attend.
