Bandon GAA Club have sadly learnt of the passing of our esteemed Vice President, club member and dear friend Kathleen Canty RIP.
Kathleen was a committed, reliable and loyal long serving member of our club who contributed enormously to the success of our club. Throughout the years, Kathleen gave her time and expertise to the Adult Club Executive, Pavilion, Badminton, Ladies and Fundraising committees.
Weekly, the Thursday night Bingo was efficiently run by Kathleen so that our patrons enjoyed themselves. In addition to her Vice President role, her most recent appointment was the Club’s Cultural Officer. Kathleen was a great Bandon GAA club supporter, providing eloquent rendition of “The Ballad of Charlie Hurley” and rarely missed a Bandon GAA match. She will be missed.
The officers, committee and members of Cumman Luthchleas Gael Droichead na Banndan, wish to express our deepest sympathies to her relatives and her many friends on their great loss.
Bandon GAA club will provide a Guard of Honour at her funeral mass on Wed 2 Nov 2022 at St. Patricks Church, Bandon, as a mark of respect to our Vice President and friend Kathleen.
Ar dhéis lámh Dé go raibh a hanam dilís.
