Bandon GAA Club held our annual Puc Fada competition on Fri 29th Dec 2023. Across the day, 78 teams competed up Clancoolbeg Hill to Careys Cross to test their Puc Fada skills on accurracy and distance. Some sliotars were lost along the way!!

Winners of Men Competition received the Denis McCarthy Perpetual Cup. The winning team comprised of Ciaran McCarthy, Ben Donegan and Aidan O'Mahony. The cup was presented to winning team by Trever McCarthy, son of the late Denis McCarthy RIP.

Winners of Ladies Competiton received the inaugural Kathleen Canty Perpetual Cup. The winning team comprised of Amy Allen, Ciara Heavrin and Laura Cummins. The cup was presented to the winning team by Phil Murphy, Bandon GAA Chairperson, on behalf of Kathleen Canty RIP family.

Thanks to the Puc Fada sub-committee for orgainising the event, local Bandon Garda Síochána, the Clancoolbeg resisdents who supported this event, the many Puc Fada participants and spectators.
