Club Chairman Ian Doyle was an excellent M.C at a very well attended Bandon Underage medals presentation and awards night in the Pavilion last Friday night.
He set the scene well by mentioning and thanking everyone in attendance whilst at the same time ensuring that the event ran smoothly and did not drag on.
Beautiful refreshments were served after the event. Guest of Honour on the night was Cork and Youghal Hurler Bill Cooper. He gave a concise speech, making an interesting point when he said that he was smaller than average at a young age but that it never stopped him from listening and learning from his coaches all the way through his underage years in Youghal.
Many of our own coaches have now successfully completed the Advanced Level 1 Coaching course after recently attending 4 intensive coaching sessions.
Club members can pre-purchase tickets for the mouth-watering National Hurling League opener of Cork v Kilkenny in our club sponsor Caulfield's SuperValu before the big game on Saturday night.
This will save them '5.00 off the normal entry fee of '15.00. Children under 16 years go free and usual student and OAP concessions apply on the night.
