Hurling Intermediate
Kanturk 4-11
Bandon 1-15
Bandon GAA followers were very disappointed leaving Cloughduv last Friday evening after the Premier Intermediate hurlers lost their second championship game of the season against Kanturk on a score of 1-15 to 4-11.
Three soft goals were conceded in the first half but worse was to follow when ace forward Darren Crowley received a straight red card just before half time.
Darren had almost single handedly dragged the team back into contention by that time with a personal tally of 7 points, 5 from placed balls.
The sides remained close on the scoreboard for long periods of the second half but the numerical dis-advantage eventually counted and Kanturk deserved their victory.
There were notable performances by James Walsh, Darren Ryan, Eoghan O'Donovan and Philip Crowley.
