Football - U16
Bandon 2-11
Ilen Rovers 2-08

In the fast fading light last Tuesday evening at Ballinacarriga our under 16 footballers created quite an upset in the championship when they defeated a much fancied Ilen Rovers team on a score of 2-11 to 2-8.

After selecting to change our jerseys due to the colour clash out lads showed their true colours by creating and scoring memorable scores.

Best on the night were Kieran McCarthy, Mark O'Regan, David Behan, Eoin O'Sullivan, Owen Nolan and Gavin O'Connell.

O'Donovan Rossa await in the semi-final and Bandon GAA wish a speedy recovery to the Ilen centre back who sustained a nasty injury.

Team: K McCarthy, R O'Driscoll, K Welsh, B Donegan, P Lang, A Burns, E Hurley, M O'Regan, D Behan, J Daly, O O'Sulivan, S O'Sullivan, O Nolan, G O'Connell, B O'Connell. Subs: C Calnan, S Looney, J Kelly.

Another team creating a stir are our Minor footballers and they deserve a large support at Kilmichael on Friday next where they play Naomh Aban in the championship final with a throw-in of 06.30 p.m.

The minor hurlers have also qualified for a West Cork final after defeating Ibane Gaels in the semi-final and we await the winners of Western Gaels and Kilmeen/Kilbree.

The club wish Jonathon Mulcahy, Timmy McCarthy and Joseph O'Mahony and Carbery minor hurlers the very best in the Premier 2 County Final against Aghabullogue on next Monday night 06.30 p.m. in Pairc Ui Rinn.

The Under 11's had a big win over St James Ardfield last week on score of 08-13 to 05-08 and were unlucky to lose out to Naomh Aban last Saturday on score of 02-10 to 02-08.

Finally, the Junior footballers featuring some younger and one older player had a good league win of 03-11 to 01-08 over Urhan last Wednesday evening.
